Toronto is particularly well served, with Air Canada and Porter offering direct flights between YYZ and YQB. The airport's published schedule shows multiple flights per day during the winter period, including February 2027

Paris: YQB has direct Paris service with both Air France and Air Transat. The airport's current schedule shows Air France service and Air Transat service, with Air Transat's winter schedule extending into January–February 2027. This is particularly relevant for travellers because Paris is the main European gateway with direct service to Québec City during KIMS Canada.

TRAINS or COACH BUS

Québec City's main downtown rail and intercity bus hub is Gare du Palais, located at 450 rue de la Gare-de-Palais. Built in 1915, this historic castle-like station handles VIA Rail trains and Orléans Express buses.

Travel from Montreal or Toronto or Ottawa

The train ride from Montréal to Québec City is about 3.5 hours.
Train tickets from Montréal to Québec City with VIA Rail start at $75 CAD, however, on Tuesdays tickets are often cheaper (prices subject to change, please check the VIA Rail website).

From Toronto, there are two train routes from Toronto to Québec City. One makes a stop in Ottawa, the other in Montréal. We recommend taking the train which stops over in Montréal. 

From Ottawa, the train takes about 6 hours.

BUS

From Montreal, Orléans Express offers bus service from Montréal to Québec City. Depending on the time of day, the trip can be anywhere from 3 to 3.5 hours. 

Orléans Express is the primary carrier operating directly out of the main Montreal bus terminal (Gare d'autocars de Montréal) straight to Gare du Palais. Standard economy tickets typically average $47 to $67 CAD. However, advance booking promotions can drop fares as low as $25 to $35 CAD.

Getting to the Hotel

Taxi from/to Airport:

Taxis are readily available at Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) and operate with flat rates for trips between downtown and the airport.. See all the details here.

Head to the taxi counter, located between the international arrivals area and the currency exchange office at level 1 of the terminal. Be sure to mention any special needs when speaking to the staff.
The taxis are outside by the door.

Rates Airport to downtown Québec City: $41.40* (day), $46.60* (night)

*During the day and night, a fee of $0.90 plus tax is added to the base fare of every trip, including special fares set by the Commission des transports du Québec, contract fares and trips ordered through an app. This fee helps fund a program supporting owners of a taxi permit. 

Private Shuttle from/to Airport:

We are working on providing a free shuttle service to and from the airport. The pickup and drop-off area may vary depending on the time of year. 

Look for the KIMS Canada Kiosque - Times of shuttles will be indicated.

From Gare du Palais

Gare du Palais is situated in the Lower Town, a short walk uphill to Old Québec. A taxi ride from Gare du Palais to Hôtel Le Concorde Québec takes about 7 minutes to cover the 1.9 km distance, while walking takes approximately 31 minutes
