What happens when you put three creative minds together, give them a blank canvas — and a surprise challenge?

The Creative Challenge is an opportunity for the creators attending KIMS Canada to step outside the usual business meeting environment and simply create.

On the first morning, over coffee, each team of three will receive a surprise creative situation. From that moment, they’ll have three days to turn the challenge into an original piece of content for children and youth — on whatever medium they choose.

Build your creative team

Each team will bring together three different perspectives:

A Writer
The storyteller who brings the idea and the words to life.

A Producer
The person who helps shape the idea and turn it into something achievable.

A Creative
An artist, designer, animator, director, developer, creator — or any other creative mind who can bring something unexpected to the mix.

Together, you decide what you want to create — animation, video, audio, digital, interactive, publishing, gaming or something completely different.

Team registration will open in the days leading up to KIMS Canada. Gather your three creative minds, choose your roles and register your team before the challenge begins!

The challenge begins…

Your creative situation will be revealed during the first morning coffee break.

And the clock starts.

You’ll have the three days of KIMS Canada to brainstorm, create, experiment, collaborate, laugh, rethink, and bring your idea to life.

The big reveal

On Thursday afternoon, during the coffee break, each team will present its creation to the KIMS Canada community.

No pitch deck. No business plan.

Just your idea, your creativity and what you managed to create together.
